PeriAcryl®90 now available in the Philippines
PeriAcryl®90 is a cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive that has become a popular product in oral surgery. This dental adhesive is designed to perform specifically in the oral cavity. PeriAcryl®90 is an ideal blend of n-butyl cyanoacrylate and 2-octyl cyanoacrylate that give the formulation the perfect set of properties to function on soft oral tissue. PeriAcryl®90 is intended to attach dental dressings such as COE-PAK™ to intact gum tissue and/or tooth enamel to help keep dressings secure and in place for up to two weeks.
“I use PeriAcryl 90 in my practice as a routine when fixating a collagen bandage, tape or plug after tissue harvesting from the palate or for extraction site management.
This is an excellent adjunct for hemostasis as well as to maintain the blood clot and minimize micro-motion of the graft area. If I am placing a collagen or PRF plug after an extraction I use PeriAcryl 90 as a liquid bandage around the margin to seal it in and it works very well.
By covering a resorbable membrane with PeriAcryl 90, I can preserve the membrane and protect the graft by using it as a barrier. When performing a free gingival graft procedure, at times I will use PeriAcryl 90 to help me stabilize the graft.
It usually means I use less sutures and perform the procedure faster.
